CrossING: Green career - sustainability for engineers

With CrossING, we offer an annual platform to support students of engineering degree programmes on their way into the professional world and to connect them with potential employers. Former fellow students talk about their entry into the professional world and how they personally combined family and job. Participants will also have the opportunity to collect personal etiquette tips, have a professional photo taken for an application photo and have their application documents checked. The WORLDFACTORY Transfer and Start-up Centre will also provide an ideal contact point during the event for those interested in setting up a company.

In order to sustainably protect the climate and preserve our livelihoods, the demand for engineers in "green" jobs that help shape the necessary transformation of society as a whole is increasing. At this year's CrossING event, participants will find out where and how to find these jobs in which sustainability plays a key role.

The next event will take place on 25/26 September 2024 and the registration period for students will be announced in due course. Participation is free of charge.

Lore Agnes Prize

In 2015, CrossING was awarded the Lore Agnes Prize, in the context of which the RUB aims to make successful gender equality strategies more visible and recognises them with a prize every two years. As part of CrossING, former fellow students report on their entry into the professional world and how they personally combined family and job.
